Just a quick post...Wine Spectator just posted a rundown of their top-value Italian whites, and the list is packed with some seriously good bottles. It's amazing how far the white wines of Italy have come: These days, serious and casual wine drinkers alike are just as likely to grab a bottle of Italian white as they are anything else.
In fact, this time of year, I'd say that a good portion of my white wine consumption is Italian. From Prosecco and Franciacorta to the Lagreins of Alto Adige to Sicilian Insolia, it's dizzying how much good white juice is being produced on the Boot.
Refreshing, too--in more ways than one.
